About Our Company

AJM Kooheji’s journey began in 1890 when Mahmood Abduljabbar Alkooheji established his trading business by importing textiles from India. His son Abduljabbar Mahmood Alkooheji then took over and expanded the business by importing world renowned automobile brands such as Jaguar, Singer & Renault. Soon after, he became the exclusive Bridgestone Tires distributor and went on to become the world’s first Yamaha Marine distributor outside of Japan. From that point on, AJM Kooheji Group has continuously progressed, establishing itself as an esteemed business entity in The Kingdom of Bahrain. Through the years, the group has diversified into strategic business units, spanning manufacturing, contracting, distribution and retail, education, and investments.

The founder envisioned creating a skilled workforce that would contribute to the local community and serve humanity on a broader scale. Today, the Board of Directors and employee partners at AJM Kooheji Group continue to support his vision, reinforcing the company’s foundation with a steadfast commitment to quality, exceptional customer service, and ethical conduct.
