Job Description: Kitchen Assistant Roles &amp; Responsibilities: - Assist in food preparation tasks such as chopping, cutting, and grating ingredients as directed by the chef or kitchen supervisor. - Ensure that all food items are properly stored, labeled, and rotated to maintain freshness. - Clean and sanitize kitchen equipment, utensils, and work surfaces according to established hygiene standards. - Assist in setting up and stocking stations for service, including arranging ingredients, utensils, and other necessary items. - Maintain a clean and organized work area throughout the shift, including disposing of waste and keeping storage areas tidy. - Assist in receiving and storing deliveries, checking for accuracy and quality of products received. - Follow all food safety and sanitation procedures to prevent contamination and ensure compliance with regulations. - Assist in meal service by plating and garnishing dishes as instructed, ensuring presentation standards are met. - Help with dishwashing and general kitchen cleanup duties as needed to maintain cleanliness and efficiency. Desired Candidate Profile: - Previous experience in a kitchen or food service environment is preferred but not required. - Basic knowledge of food preparation techniques and kitchen equipment. - Ability to follow instructions and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. - Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining cleanliness and hygiene standards. - Good communication skills and the ability to work well as part of a team. - Willingness to learn and take on new tasks as needed.
