Job Description
Job Title: Accounting Clerk/Storekeeper
Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated Accounting Clerk/Storekeeper to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for supporting our financial operations by performing various accounting and storekeeping tasks efficiently. This role requires strong attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
Roles & Responsibilities:
1. Service Excellence:
- Provide prompt and accurate service to managers and employees, addressing their accounting and storekeeping needs.
- Ensure a high level of customer service, building positive relationships with internal stakeholders.
2. Accounting Operations:
- Perform a variety of accounting tasks, including posting relevant entries in accounting systems, point of sale, and property management systems.
- Execute daily financial transactions and ensure accuracy in all postings.
3. Documentation and Reporting:
- Prepare and maintain accurate financial reports and reconciliations.
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards and company policies.
- Maintain and organize financial documentation and records.
4. Storekeeping Duties:
- Manage inventory levels and ensure that stock is well-organized and accounted for.
- Track incoming and outgoing inventory, ensuring accurate record-keeping.
- Conduct regular inventory audits and report any discrepancies.
5. Adherence to Policies:
- Follow established company policies and procedures while performing accounting and storekeeping duties.
- Ensure that all tasks are performed in compliance with financial regulations and standards.
6. Flexibility:
- Undertake additional accounting and storekeeping tasks as required to support the smooth operation of financial and inventory processes.
- Assist in other areas of finance and operations as needed.
Desired Candidate Profile:
Qualifications:
- High School diploma or equivalent required.
- Proven ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong critical thinking and analytical skills.
- Proficiency in computers and information technology, including accounting software.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with clients and colleagues.
- Strong math/accounting aptitude and related audit skills.
- Ability to multitask, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines.
