Job Description
Job Title: Bid Manager - Arabic Speaker
Etisalat by e&, a global technology group pioneering new technologies since 1976, is seeking a Bid Manager to lead and coordinate the entire bid management process. This role is crucial in empowering people through innovation and digitization, driving the digital future.
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Bid Management Process: Lead and coordinate the bid management process, including reviewing bid invitations, conducting bid/no-bid analysis, and establishing timelines.
- Team Management: Manage multidisciplinary bid teams and inputs from key stakeholders, including sales, marketing, product teams, finance, commercial, legal, and project management.
- Strategy Development: Develop and implement strategies for winning bids/opportunities in consultation with senior management and sales and marketing teams.
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Collaborate with internal stakeholders (sales, solution architects, subject matter experts) to gather information and develop bid strategies.
- Bid Document Preparation: Oversee the preparation of all bid documents, ensuring they are high-quality, complete, and submitted on time.
- Compliance: Ensure bids comply with client requirements and any laws and regulations governing the submission process.
- Pricing Strategy: Work closely with the commercial team to develop a competitive yet profitable pricing strategy.
- Risk Assessment: Assess potential risks involved with the bid and develop strategies to mitigate them.
- Client Liaison: Liaise with clients to understand their needs and clarify any points during the bid process.
- Presentations: Prepare and deliver presentations to clients as part of the bid submission.
- Bid Reviews: Conduct bid reviews with key stakeholders to continuously improve the bidding process.
- Market Analysis: Keep up to date with market trends and competitor activity to inform bid strategies.
- Feedback Analysis: Analyze feedback from unsuccessful bids to improve future submissions.
- Record Maintenance: Maintain accurate records of all bids, successes, and failures for future reference and learning.
- Customer Understanding: Identify and understand customers’ current and future business initiatives to formulate a winning bid strategy.
- Solution Comparison: Assess price, performance, and quality relationships for different OEMs across the ICT technology landscape.
- Process Improvement: Continuously refine and improve bid processes, templates, and best practices to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
- Competitive Analysis: Conduct comparisons of possible Etisalat solutions with competitors’ solutions in terms of quality.
Desired Candidate Profile:
1. Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Information Technology, or related fields.
2. Experience: 5-8 years in presales in the telco and ICT industry is mandatory.
3. Solution Design: Experience in solution design, development, and presales within the ICT and telco industry.
4. Bid Management Skills: Strong experience in bid management and business and technical writing skills.
5. Technical Knowledge: Advanced understanding of telco, digital, and 4G/5G technologies.
6. Language Proficiency: Proficiency in both English and Arabic.
