Job Title: Finance Director
Job Overview
Our client is seeking a highly experienced and strategic Finance Director to join their team in Abu Dhabi. This role offers an exciting opportunity to provide strategic planning and sound financial stewardship across a diverse portfolio of hospitality assets. The Finance Director will develop and implement robust controls and accounting operations, ensure consistent and compliant reporting practices, and lead financial automation and digitization projects. Responsibilities
- Financial Reporting and Consolidation:
- Lead the financial reporting and consolidation process for business units.
- Prepare and monitor monthly cash flow to ensure financial stability and liquidity.
- Financial Controls and Practices:
- Develop and implement robust financial controls and accounting practices across the hospitality portfolio.
- Oversee key finance functions, including tax, budget, credit, and treasury.
- Strategic Planning and Oversight:
- Work closely with the Chief Financial Officer to provide strategic planning and financial stewardship.
- Lead Business Review Meetings (BRM) to ensure accurate financial operations and reporting.
- Cost Management and Project Oversight:
- Drive cost management of transformational projects to optimize financial performance.
- Ensure corporate tax and VAT reporting are achieved in compliance with Group Tax Policy and FTA Regulations.
- Innovation and Integration:
- Drive innovation in the finance function to achieve streamlined and integrated finance systems.
- Lead financial automation and digitization projects to enhance operational efficiency.
- Team Leadership and Collaboration:
- Oversee the activities and output of the finance team.
- Liaise and collaborate effectively with finance leaders within the business units.
Requirements
- Education and Certification:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (Master’s or CPA/ACCA/ACA preferred).
- Experience:
- Minimum of 15 years of relevant experience in a major hotel operator.
- Proven track record of leading successful finance transformation initiatives.
- Skills and Expertise:
- In-depth expertise and understanding of finance operations and technologies.
- Strong knowledge of USALI (Uniform System of Accounts for the Lodging Industry) and IFRS (International Financial Reporting Standards).
- Proficiency in financial statement analysis and ability to work with complex financial data.
