Job Description
Job Title: Finance Manager
Job Purpose
The Finance Manager is responsible for overseeing the financial operations of the company, ensuring accurate financial reporting, effective financial planning, and compliance with regulatory requirements. The role involves managing the finance department, developing financial strategies, and providing insights to support the company’s business objectives.
Key Responsibilities
- Financial Planning and Analysis:
- Develop and implement financial strategies to support the company’s long-term goals.
- Prepare and oversee the company’s annual budget, financial forecasts, and financial performance analysis.
- Provide financial insights and recommendations to senior management to support decision-making.
- Financial Reporting:
- Ensure the timely and accurate preparation of financial statements, reports, and analysis.
- Oversee month-end and year-end closing processes.
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements.
- Cash Flow Management:
- Monitor and manage the company’s cash flow to ensure liquidity and financial stability.
- Develop cash flow forecasts and implement strategies to optimize cash flow.
- Cost Management:
- Analyze and manage costs to improve profitability.
- Implement cost control measures and monitor budget adherence across departments.
- Risk Management:
- Identify financial risks and develop strategies to mitigate them.
- Ensure compliance with financial regulations and internal controls to protect company assets.
- Team Leadership:
- Lead and manage the finance team, providing guidance, training, and performance management.
- Foster a collaborative and high-performing team environment.
- Audit and Taxation:
- Coordinate and manage internal and external audits, ensuring compliance with statutory requirements.
- Oversee tax planning and compliance, ensuring timely and accurate tax filings.
- Stakeholder Management:
- Liaise with banks, auditors, tax authorities, and other external stakeholders.
- Provide financial information and insights to investors, lenders, and other stakeholders as required.
Qualifications and Experience
- Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field.
- Postgraduate degree or professional finance qualifications such as MBA, CA, CS, CFA, or equivalent are highly preferred.
- Experience:
- 5 to 10 years of experience in finance management, with at least 1-2 years in a managerial role.
- Experience in a similar role in the UAE or GCC region is preferred.
- Skills:
- Strong knowledge of financial management, accounting principles, and regulatory requirements.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Strong leadership and team management abilities.
- Proficiency in financial software and ERP systems.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
