Job Description

Job Title: Lead – Electrical Maintenance (Foundry Industry)

We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Lead – Electrical Maintenance to oversee the electrical systems in our foundry operations. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing maintenance strategies, managing electrical teams, and ensuring that all electrical systems are compliant with safety regulations and are maintained to ensure optimal performance and minimal downtime.

Key Responsibilities:

- Maintenance Management:
- Develop and implement preventive and corrective maintenance programs for all electrical systems, ensuring maximum uptime of equipment.
- Oversee troubleshooting, repair, and regular maintenance of electrical equipment, including transformers, switchgear, motors, and foundry-specific machinery.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and industry standards for all electrical installations.

- Team Leadership:
- Lead, mentor, and manage a team of electricians and electrical technicians, ensuring effective task delegation and completion within deadlines.
- Monitor team performance and organize necessary training and development to enhance technical skills.
- Coordinate with other maintenance departments (mechanical and automation) to ensure seamless operations.

- Planning & Execution:
- Prepare and execute maintenance schedules in a way that minimizes disruptions to production.
- Analyze downtime data, identify root causes, and implement solutions to minimize future issues.
- Plan and manage new electrical installations, upgrades, or retrofits to meet operational requirements.

- Safety & Compliance:
- Implement and enforce stringent safety protocols, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations.
- Conduct regular safety audits and ensure the electrical team adheres to best practices in equipment handling and safety measures.

- Budgeting & Reporting:
- Manage the electrical maintenance budget, optimizing resources for cost-effectiveness.
- Prepare and submit regular maintenance reports to senior management, outlining key issues, resolutions, and future plans.

- Continuous Improvement:
- Identify opportunities to improve electrical maintenance processes and implement initiatives to enhance efficiency.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives such as Kaizen or Six Sigma to drive process optimization.

Desired Candidate Profile:

- Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
- 8-10 years of experience in electrical maintenance within the foundry or heavy industry environment.
- Proven experience in managing and leading maintenance teams.
- In-depth knowledge of electrical systems used in foundries, including transformers, switchgear, motors, and control systems.
- Strong familiarity with safety standards and regulations related to electrical maintenance.
- Excellent problem-solving, leadership, and communication skills.
