Job Title: QHSE Officer
Position Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented QHSE Officer to develop, implement, and oversee Quality, Health, Safety, and Environment (QHSE) policies and procedures. The ideal candidate will ensure compliance with regulations and standards, promote safety awareness, and enhance organizational performance through effective risk management and continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities:
- Policy and Procedure Development:
- Develop and implement QHSE policies and procedures to ensure compliance with relevant regulations and industry standards.
- Risk Assessment and Audits:
- Conduct risk assessments and internal audits to identify potential hazards and verify that appropriate safety measures are in place.
- Training and Awareness:
- Provide QHSE training and awareness programs for employees and contractors to ensure understanding and adherence to safety practices.
- Performance Monitoring and Reporting:
- Monitor and report on QHSE performance metrics and provide recommendations for improvements to enhance safety and compliance.
- Incident and Accident Management:
- Manage investigations into incidents and accidents, developing and implementing corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
- Stakeholder Collaboration:
- Collaborate with stakeholders across the organization to ensure comprehensive QHSE compliance and promote a culture of safety.
- Regulatory Compliance:
- Stay informed about QHSE regulations and best practices, ensuring that the organization remains compliant with occupational health and safety regulations.
- Emergency Response Planning:
- Develop and implement emergency response plans to effectively manage and mitigate potential emergencies.
- Committee Participation:
- Participate in QHSE committees and represent the organization in various QHSE-related matters.
Desired Candidate Profile:
- Experience: Proven experience in a QHSE role with a solid understanding of safety regulations and best practices.
- Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, excellent communication abilities, and proficiency in QHSE management systems.
- Qualifications: Relevant certifications in QHSE (e.g., NEBOSH, OSHA) and a background in occupational health and safety are preferred.
