Job Description
Job Title: Relationship Officer, Corporate Banking
Job Purpose
The Relationship Officer in Corporate Banking is responsible for maintaining strong relationships with corporate clients and supporting Relationship Managers (RMs) and the Head of Corporate Banking to ensure successful and optimal business interactions. This role involves managing credit proposals, monitoring financials, handling customer queries, and ensuring compliance with internal policies.
Principal Accountabilities
- Work Management:
- Process renewals and new credit proposals efficiently.
- Handle excess and isolated requests for existing customers with minimal RM involvement.
- Ensure timely and accurate credit administration through annual reviews and regular monitoring of financials, covenants, and other parameters.
- Address customer queries effectively to enhance satisfaction.
- Analyze customer-provided information (e.g., project reports, feasibility reports, balance sheets) to structure credit lines, balancing risk and reward.
- Liaise with customers for day-to-day banking needs and manage security documentation requirements professionally.
- Communicate effectively both internally and externally to ensure timely responses and high client satisfaction.
- Conduct customer visits as needed for business requirements.
- Monitor the development and progress of corporate deals and act promptly in case of any adverse developments.
- Comply with internal audit requirements and ensure uniformity and consistency across the bank.
- Monitor Early Warning Signs of account deterioration and maintain high asset quality.
- Service and Quality:
- Maintain a high standard of quality in credit proposals and internal/external communications.
- Work independently from RM while ensuring timely processing of requests.
- Handle customer queries proficiently to enhance satisfaction.
- Ensure compliance with defined policies and procedures.
Desired Candidate Profile
- Education and Experience:
- Degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or Business Management/Administration.
- 3-4 years of experience in Corporate/Corporate Banking in a credit analyst or relationship officer role, with exposure to Corporate Banking in the UAE.
Skills and Competencies
- Strong analytical and evaluation skills for assessing financial information and structuring credit lines.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to manage client relationships and internal coordination.
- Ability to work autonomously and handle multiple tasks efficiently.
- Proficiency in handling customer queries and providing appropriate solutions.
- In-depth understanding of credit administration, financial monitoring, and internal audit compliance.
