Job Title: Resident Engineer - Bridge

Overview:
Parsons is seeking a dedicated Resident Engineer for a prestigious roads, infrastructure, and landscaping project in Abu Dhabi. This role involves overseeing the construction of bridges, roads, infrastructure, and landscape works, ensuring compliance with project specifications, safety standards, and timelines.

Key Responsibilities:

- Project Oversight:
- Act as the Engineer with responsibilities related to the bridge, road, infrastructure, and landscape works.
- Directly communicate with the Contractor to monitor and inspect construction activities.

- Quality Control:
- Issue directives to the Contractor to correct non-compliance with contract requirements.
- Review and approve all drawings, design proposals, method statements, and material submissions.

- Team Management:
- Supervise and manage the construction supervision team, including site engineers, work inspectors, and surveyors.
- Provide guidance and advice on variations, Contractor payments, and claims.

- Contract Administration:
- Advise on contractual matters, utility diversions, traffic diversions, and other related works.
- Prepare progress reports and coordinate with Parsons' design Engineers to resolve issues.

- Safety and Compliance:
- Ensure safety goals are achieved and safety procedures are implemented.
- Review HSE reports and participate in health and safety issues as required.

- Reporting and Coordination:
- Maintain accurate site records and oversee the documentation of progress and performance.
- Liaise with Client/PMC, Contractor, and Authorities to ensure effective communication and project execution.

Qualifications and Experience:

- Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering.
- Experience: Minimum of 10 years of post-graduate experience in design, site supervision, and construction management of major bridge, road, infrastructure, and landscaping projects, preferably in the Gulf region.
- Professional Certification: Chartered Engineer or Professional Engineer (PE) registration is preferred.

- Proficiency in Quality Assurance Specifications and Statistical Quality Control.
- Ability to review material submissions, analyze laboratory and technical reports, and implement quality measures.
- Strong knowledge of contractual relationships and project specifications.

- Proactive problem-solving skills and a detail-oriented approach.
- Fully computer literate with experience using project-specific engineering and construction software.

- Communication Skills:
- Fluent in English and Arabic (both written and spoken), with excellent technical writing and oral communication skills.
