Job Description
Job Title: Senior Associate Finance Manager
The Senior Associate Finance Manager is responsible for the overall financial management and strategic planning of the organization. This role involves overseeing financial operations, preparing reports, conducting financial analyses, and providing insights to support strategic decision-making. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively across departments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Financial Operations Oversight:
- Ensure compliance with Group Financial policies for all financial transactions.
- Oversee day-to-day financial operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll processing, and treasury functions.
- Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure efficient financial operations and regulatory compliance.
- Fund and Working Capital Management:
- Optimize cash flow management and maintain banking relationships to support operational requirements.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with banks and financial institutions.
- Negotiate banking services, including credit facilities, loans, and lines of credit.
- Coordinate with banks for additional bank facilities if required.
- Financial Reporting and Audits:
- Finalize monthly, quarterly, and annual management and audited accounts.
- Lead external and internal audit processes.
- Budgeting and Forecasting:
- Lead the budgeting process in collaboration with department heads.
- Monitor budget performance, prepare forecasts, and recommend adjustments to ensure financial targets are met.
- Team Management:
- Manage and mentor a team of finance professionals, providing guidance and support.
- Foster a collaborative work environment and conduct performance reviews.
- Identify training needs to enhance team capabilities.
- Project and Supplier Management:
- Guide on supplier terms and ensure alignment with project contracts.
- Monitor and prioritize supplier payments based on project criticality and fund requirements.
- Review LC terms with suppliers and suggest measures to mitigate payment risks.
- Provide guidance on financial measures to achieve budgeted targets.
- Constantly review open LCs and bid bonds to expedite closure with project/sales teams.
- Financial Analysis and Improvement:
- Interpret financial results to management and recommend areas for improvement.
- Complete knowledge of procurement, project operations, and contract management.
Desired Candidate Profile:
- Experience:
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in finance, with at least 5 years in a managerial role.
- Experience in IT or construction industries is preferred.
- Qualifications:
- ACCA, CA, or equivalent certification is required.
- Proficiency in IFRS and Oracle.
- Skills:
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Effective leadership and team management abilities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work under pressure.
