Job Description

Job Title: Senior Catering Service Supervisor

Job Summary:

The Senior Catering Service Supervisor is responsible for overseeing all aspects of catering services across multiple camps and facilities within the Company site. This role involves managing catering arrangements, coordinating event services, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations, and maintaining high standards of food quality and service.

Key Responsibilities:

- Business Planning: Assist the Senior Catering & Accommodation In-charge in aligning with the annual business plan for Camps Catering Services.

- Catering Supervision: Supervise, oversee, and facilitate catering and refreshment arrangements, including food preparation, presentation, and event services. Ensure excellent customer service for employees in Company Site accommodations.

- Budget Management: Ensure the use of catering and refreshments management budget aligns with approved OPEX. Raise purchase requisitions (PRs) and handle new projects related to kitchen equipment from CAPEX.

- Camp Oversight: Manage catering services for 4 major camps (PLQ, Ops camp, PMT, and Pioneer) and handle extraordinary requirements. Accountable for site catering arrangements at various locations, including Gas plant MCB, messes, workshop, sulphur station, and temporary requirements.

- Event Coordination: Organize and coordinate event timelines, including décor setup, catering, and kitchen staff management. Plan and execute special company functions and VIP events.

- Menu and Quality Control: Monitor daily and special menu compositions to ensure high-quality food items are provided. Check stock levels and quality of supplies regularly.

- Health and Safety Compliance: Liaise with HSE for health, safety, and hygiene regulations. Implement HACCP and other safety requirements, maintaining restaurant health & safety control policies.

- Contract Management: Monitor Catering Contractor KPIs and submit reports for payment procedures. Administer service contracts, ensuring cost-effective implementation and adherence to terms and conditions.

- Vendor Performance: Evaluate vendor performance, conduct performance reviews, and ensure compliance with contract terms. Address any issues or deviations promptly.

- Facilities Maintenance: Review daily maintenance of facilities, utilities, and amenities to maintain high standards and compliance with operating procedures.

- Team Coordination: Provide guidelines and supervision to contractors, ensuring timely implementation within budget and compliance with HSE policies.

- Reporting and Documentation: Prepare expenditure forecasts for Site Management review. Monitor and review service performance and make recommendations for improvements based on customer feedback.

Desired Candidate Profile:

- Education: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Hospitality/Culinary Arts or a related field.
- Experience: Minimum of 12 years of relevant experience, preferably within the Oil & Gas or Petrochemical industry, with in-depth knowledge of hospitality practices, procedures, and customer service.
- Skills: Excellent skills in catering, events, and hospitality services. Proficient in MS Office and familiar with ERP and SAP systems. Certification in Essential Food Safety Training (EFST) and HACCP (Level 4) Principles and Practices is an advantage.
