Job Title: Senior Material Support Engineer

Job Summary:

The Senior Material Support Engineer will oversee all maintenance-related material control activities, providing technical expertise and guidance across various technical and operational divisions. This role involves managing material requirements, coordinating procurement activities, and ensuring efficient material management processes. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in material coordination within the Oil & Gas or Petrochemical industry.

Key Responsibilities:

- Material Control Oversight: Oversee all maintenance-related material control activities, offering technical expertise and guidance to technical and operational divisions/departments.
- Material Requirements Identification: Lead the identification of material requirements across various disciplines and reserve materials in SAP CMMS.
- Procurement Collaboration: Collaborate with the procurement team to obtain the required quantity of materials within specified timelines, developing consolidated material lists, conducting critical assessments, and coordinating procurement efforts.
- Technical Bid Analysis: Perform technical bid analysis on spares and materials, providing recommendations on acceptability.
- Material Movement Strategy: Coordinate the development of material movement strategies on sites and introduce monitoring reports for material consumption analysis.
- Satellite Store Layouts: Lead the preparation of satellite store layouts based on job requirements.
- Material Management Functions: Manage all aspects of Material Management functions, including identification, reservations, follow-up, bagging, and tagging of materials.
- Stakeholder Coordination: Coordinate with end-users, operations, warehouse, and execution contractors to ensure smooth material workflow, leading weekly material management meetings and daily meetings for material consumption and ongoing material movement.
- Discrepancy Resolution: Participate in addressing materials discrepancies related to specifications.
- Material Tracking: Track all materials, maintain tracking records, and ensure close follow-up with vendors until the arrival of materials at the site warehouse.
- Review & Coordination: Review and coordinate with contractors and suppliers to ensure accuracy and completeness of engineering and commercial data based on drawings.
- Material Catalogues: Review material catalogues, ensuring adherence to specified templates/formats, and monitor and control the grouping, coding, and linking of technical documents and drawings in the company’s Materials Management System (SAP).
- Material Return Process: Lead the process of material return to the warehouse following COMPANY Sour Gas established business processes.
- Compliance: Ensure compliance with relevant HSE policies, procedures, controls, applicable legislation, and sustainability guidelines in alignment with international standards, best practices, and the COMPANY Code of Practices.

Desired Candidate Profile:

- Education: Hold a Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or a related scientific field.
- Experience: Possess a minimum of 15 years of relevant experience, preferably in a reputable Oil & Gas or Petrochemical industry, with significant expertise in Material Coordination.
- Knowledge: Have knowledge in Material Management/Inventory for Operations and Maintenance.
- Skills: Proficient in MS Office, with familiarity in SAP and expertise in Material Data Analysis.
