Job Description
Job Title: Senior Tax Registration Analyst
Job Purpose:
The Senior Tax Registration Analyst is responsible for overseeing and managing the tax registration and de-registration processes for non-complex accounts. This role involves verifying documentation, maintaining accurate tax records, and ensuring compliance with tax regulations and policies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Tax Applications: Review and process tax applications for registration and de-registration, ensuring accuracy and completeness for non-complex accounts.
- Documentation Verification: Verify submitted documentation, identify discrepancies, and request additional supporting documents as needed.
- Account Management: Update and adjust taxable person accounts, including bank account details and addresses, to ensure accurate records.
- Registration Coordination: Proactively encourage taxable persons to register or update their information as per instructions from Tax Compliance and Enforcement.
- Query Resolution: Coordinate with Taxpayer Services to address and resolve queries related to tax registrations and de-registrations.
- Penalties and Surcharges: Levy appropriate penalties and surcharges for late registrations as dictated by tax policy.
- Business Entity Accounts: Register, validate, and maintain business entity accounts in compliance with registration requirements.
- Data Integrity: Ensure data integrity by confirming that all registration information meets requirements and adheres to processes.
- Suspicious Activity Monitoring: Monitor tax registrations for suspicious behavior and report as necessary.
- Tax Agent Profiles: Review and validate tax agent profiles proposed by taxable persons.
- Communication: Contact taxable persons or their tax agents to resolve discrepancies and request supporting documentation.
- Quality Control: Conduct quality checks on random requests processed by other team members, analyze errors, identify root causes, and recommend corrective actions.
- Reporting: Prepare required reports and relevant documents using MS Office tools to support tax registration operations.
- Work Distribution: Distribute tasks and applications among team members and analysts as needed.
Desired Candidate Profile:
- Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration (Accounting, Finance) or a relevant major.
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role.
- Skills:
- Strong proficiency in English and Arabic communication.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Proficient in MS Office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Attributes: Analytical thinking, problem-solving capabilities, and a proactive approach to managing tasks.
