Job Description
Job Title: Senior Transport Supervisor
Job Summary:
The Senior Transport Supervisor is responsible for overseeing and coordinating transportation activities within the company, ensuring optimal vehicle allocation and efficient mobility of personnel across various sites. This role involves managing a large fleet, supervising drivers and support staff, and maintaining high standards of service and safety while adhering to company policies and regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Business Alignment: Assist the Transportation Leader (T/L) in aligning transportation activities with the annual business plan.
- Fleet Management: Supervise and coordinate with transport providers to ensure optimal vehicle allocation. Manage a fleet of 81 light vehicles, 27 buses, and coasters, ensuring efficient mobility of personnel.
- Operational Planning: Plan and oversee transportation activities for management, employees, and visitors. Maintain a well-managed vehicle fleet and ensure high levels of customer service and satisfaction.
- Budget Monitoring: Monitor the transport budget in line with approved operational expenditure (OPEX).
- Staff Supervision: Supervise approximately 108 light and heavy vehicle drivers, one garage, and one wash bay.
- Vehicle Safety: Maintain overall vigilance over vehicle safety, adhering to COMPANY HSE standards.
- Contract Management: Process all contract transport requests, manage related invoices, and generate reports and summaries. Ensure timely delivery of vehicles and drivers and manage mobilization records for payment.
- Scheduling and Allocation: Supervise daily transport scheduling and allocation, ensuring the availability, reliability, and roadworthiness of vehicles through proper maintenance.
- Regulatory Compliance: Ensure compliance with IVMS policies, Chalwyn valve knowledge, Red Zone vehicle accessories, and safety protocols in high H2S zones. Handle transportation matters across COMPANY fields, including camps, city, plants, well pads, and pipelines.
- Government Relations: Manage government rules and regulations related to transportation, including vehicle registration, security passes, and coordination with Traffic and Government Relations departments.
- Traffic Management: Oversee issuance of road toll cards, parking permits, and assist employees with traffic affairs. Resolve outstanding traffic violation fines and insurance coverage issues with contractors.
- Emergency Support: Provide a 24/7 transportation hotline for emergencies and queries. Ensure effective support for operations and timely transport arrangements.
- Reporting and Review: Prepare periodic status reports for transportation and traffic activities. Review the yearly status of company vehicles, considering business, budget, and safety requirements.
- VIP and Event Transport: Arrange transport for company functions and VIP events across various site locations.
Desired Candidate Profile:
- Education: Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent, with expertise in Transport Administration.
- Experience: Minimum of 10-12 years of relevant experience, ideally within the Oil & Gas or Petrochemical sector, specifically in roles such as Transport Coordinator.
- Skills: Knowledge of transportation regulations, effective communication with drivers, operators, personnel, and other stakeholders. Proficiency in managing large fleets and ensuring compliance with safety standards.
