Job Title: Senior Commercial Planning Specialist

Job Purpose

The Senior Commercial Planning Specialist is responsible for developing and executing strategic commercial plans to drive business growth, optimize revenue, and ensure alignment with the company's overall objectives. The role requires strong analytical skills, a deep understanding of market dynamics, and the ability to collaborate effectively across departments.

Key Responsibilities

- Financial Analysis and Reporting
- Review and prepare Profit & Loss (P&L) statements and assumptions.
- Prepare timely Profit & Loss statements, customer pricing, and commercial summaries.
- Provide regular reports and insights to senior management to guide decision-making.
- Monitor financial performance and report on commercial activities and outcomes.
- Track and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) related to commercial activities.
- Develop detailed cashflow analyses at milestone levels for cash inflows and outflows.

- Strategy Development
- Develop and implement comprehensive commercial strategies aligned with business goals.
- Design and execute strategies to maximize sales and revenue.
- Advise on process changes to reduce timelines for customer pricing and P&L preparation.

- Risk Management
- Identify potential risks to commercial operations and develop mitigation strategies.

- Operational Efficiency
- Support in budget analysis and prepare presentations for budget and business plans.
- Review order intake with the Business Development Department and Proposal Team.
- Develop templates for standard costing, unit cost analysis, reports, inventory analysis, and cost absorption parameters.
- Encourage the adoption of new technologies and methodologies to enhance commercial performance.
- Ensure that commercial operations comply with EARTH/EDGE policy, procedures, and applicable regulations.
- Deliver effective communication to customer queries within the specified time frame.
- Fulfill EDGE ad-hoc report requests.

Experience and Education

- Experience:
- 5-8 years of experience in commercial planning and pricing within a public or private organization.
- Experience in pricing and commercial planning in a defense engineering organization is preferred.

- Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred.
- Professional certification in accountancy (e.g., CPA, CA, ACCA, CIMA) is desirable.
