Job Description:

We are looking for a dedicated and proactive Teaching Assistant to join our educational team. The Teaching Assistant will play a crucial role in supporting both students and teachers by fostering a positive and inclusive learning environment, enhancing student engagement, and contributing to the overall educational experience.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Student Relationship Building: Develop productive, respectful, and trusting relationships with students to foster engagement, motivation, and a sense of belonging.

2. Supportive Environment: Assist teachers in creating a safe, supportive, and inclusive student-centered learning environment.

3. Student Supervision: Support teachers in supervising and monitoring students' participation in activities, their engagement with resources, and their achievement of learning outcomes.

4. Differentiated Learning: Collaborate with teachers and support staff to implement differentiated learning materials and assessment tasks, ensuring equitable access to the curriculum for all students.

5. Individual and Group Support: Work with individual students or groups under the guidance of teachers to support their academic progress and achievement.

6. Progress Discussions: Participate in discussions about student progress with teachers, support staff, and other relevant stakeholders.

7. Effective Communication: Communicate respectfully with students, parents, and colleagues to support effective teaching and learning.

8. Resource Preparation: Assist teachers in preparing teaching resources and materials and maintaining student records.

9. Student Supervision: Supervise students during arrival, dismissal, break times, events, and school trips under the guidance of teachers.

10. Professional Development: Engage in individual and collaborative professional learning and networks to enhance understanding of how to improve student engagement, learning, and wellbeing.

11. Additional Duties: Undertake any related tasks that are relevant to the role.

Desired Candidate Profile:

- Educational Qualifications and Certifications:
- Certificate III in School-Based Education Support
- Fluency in English (IELTS score) and Arabic
- Experience:
- Minimum of 1 year experience in a similar Teaching Assistant position, or a new graduate with a Bachelor’s Degree in Education.
