Job Title: Technician Electroplating

Position Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Technician Electroplating to ensure high-quality electroplating processes and maintain compliance with technical standards. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in electroplating, metal oxidation, and related tasks, with a keen eye for detail and adherence to safety and environmental regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

- Electroplating and Metal Processing:
- Perform industrial cleaning, sandblasting, plate stripping, wax masking, electroplating, metal oxidation, and gun bluing according to technical manuals, KPIs, and OEM specifications.
- Prepare items for electroplating by placing them in cleaning and conductive solutions.
- Determine coating requirements, apply electrical current, and time electroplating processes accordingly.
- Position items in frames or suspend them for electroplating, rinse, and dry coated items.

- Quality Control and Maintenance:
- Mix and test coating solutions, replenish holding tanks, and perform cyclic inspections.
- Use precision measuring instruments to ensure coating thickness conforms to OEM specifications.
- Maintain and calibrate precision measurement instruments.

- Documentation and Compliance:
- Complete maintenance-related documentation, including tasks accomplished, labor hours, and spare part requests.
- Ensure compliance with storage and disposal guidelines for hazardous materials, following environmental directives and company regulations.
- Maintain and secure issued tools, uniforms, and Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).

- Support and Improvement:
- Assist in developing job plans for industrial cleaning, electroplating, and related processes.
- Perform quality maintenance actions as part of the ISO 9001 Quality Management System program.
- Submit facility-related service requests as needed.

Desired Candidate Profile:

- Education:
- High school diploma or equivalent.

- Experience:
- Minimum of two years of experience in electroplating, metal oxidation, and/or gun bluing.
- Previous military experience or formal training in chemistry and/or electroplating is an advantage.

- Skills and Knowledge:
- Ability to interpret complex blueprints, technical diagrams, and schematics.
- Experience using special tools, precision measuring instruments, and electroplating equipment.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office software and SAP is preferred.
- Effective communication skills in English, both written and verbal.

- Certifications:
- Ability to obtain or hold a valid UAE driver’s and forklift license.
