Job Description
As the Spa and Wellness Program Coordinator, your role is pivotal in ensuring the smooth operation of the spa and wellness program on a day-to-day basis to achieve the highest levels of guest satisfaction. Your responsibilities include:
- Creating new, unique, and culturally inspired spa and wellness activities that leverage the best offerings of the resort's location.
- Continuously positioning the spa and wellness program as a point of competitive advantage for the resort.
- Having a comprehensive knowledge of the resort's products and services.
- Coordinating all spa and wellness programs booked by guests through various channels, including Reservations, Spa, Wellness, or other means.
- Assisting in the marketing and promotion of the wellness program, collaborating with the Marketing Communications specialist on internal and external marketing materials and advertising.
- Working closely with all departments to promote the wellness program and maximize guest satisfaction and resort revenue.
- Ensuring all activities are conducted in a safe environment using proper safety techniques.
- Monitoring and maintaining the highest levels of quality of service, operation standards, and professionalism.
- Training and evaluating attendants, instructors, and other team members involved in wellness activities.
- Monitoring the success of the spa and wellness program through participant numbers and guest feedback, making necessary adjustments or recommendations to maintain quality and standards.
- Ensuring appropriate staffing levels based on activities offered and guest demographics.
- Following proper accounting procedures for collecting fees for the wellness program.
- Assisting in preparing the yearly budget for the department.
- Driving revenues for the department.
Qualifications
- High School diploma
- At least 2 years of previous experience in a similar position
- Experience in a luxury hotel setting is essential
- Passion for delivering excellent service
- Excellent team player with great communication skills
