Job Description
Job Title: Field Operator III - Wireline
Position Overview:
The Field Operator III - Wireline is responsible for operating and maintaining wireline equipment and machinery. This hands-on role involves precise instrumentation and operation of equipment, supporting field operations under the supervision of a Field Engineer or Field Specialist. The role requires attention to detail, effective communication, and adherence to safety and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Equipment Operation:
- Operate wireline equipment and machinery with precision.
- Perform routine maintenance and minor repairs on solid expandable service equipment.
- Verify all equipment and supplies are on location and in proper working condition.
- Administrative Duties:
- Prepare accurate tickets, job reports, time sheets, and other required administrative forms.
- Assist in job safety analysis, job coordination, and job installation with the supervisor and customer on location.
- Safety and Compliance:
- Participate in pre-job safety meetings and adhere to Weatherford's Quality Policy and safety rules.
- Comply with all Health and Safety requirements and regional regulations.
- Be available on a 24-hour basis to respond to customer needs and emergencies.
- Learning and Development:
- Learn the operation and maintenance requirements of solid expandable services equipment.
- Understand maintenance procedures specific to solid expandable service equipment.
- Field Operations Support:
- Support field crew operations and ensure tasks are performed to the highest quality level.
- Perform various other duties and activities as assigned by the supervisor.
Desired Candidate Profile:
- Experience:
- Minimum of 4-5 years of related experience in operating and maintaining wireline equipment.
- Education:
- High School diploma, skilled labor certificate, or equivalent.
- Skills and Certifications:
- Strong operational and maintenance knowledge of equipment.
- Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) or ability to obtain one.
- Valid Hazardous Materials endorsement and Tanker endorsement, or ability to obtain.
- Compliance with region-specific driving regulations and health requirements.
- Ability to work flexible schedules, including long and/or irregular hours.
- Additional Requirements:
- Must have a telephone and be available for 24-hour on-call duty.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety and quality.
