Marine Engineer [Full-Time/Contract]

Job Title: Marine Engineer

Roles & Responsibilities:

- Design and Analysis:
- Minimum 8 years of experience in the design, analysis, and implementation of marine structures and waterfront projects.
- Expertise in the design and analysis of marine structures such as piers, wharves, jetties, docks, bulkheads, and coastal protection systems.

- Marine Surveys and Investigations:
- Conduct marine surveys (both desktop and physical) and marine site investigation works, translating findings into required specifications/requirements.
- Perform marine constructability studies, including vessel maneuverability, mooring analysis, met-ocean studies, port design, dredging requirements, and reclamation works.

- Engineering Calculations and Design:
- Perform structural analysis, load calculations, and foundation design to ensure the structural integrity and safety of marine projects.
- Develop and review technical drawings, plans, and specifications in coordination with in-house CAD designers, ensuring compliance with industry standards and codes.

- Technical Documentation:
- Prepare technical reports, progress updates, and project documentation to effectively communicate design concepts, analysis results, and recommendations.
- Ensure adherence to design standards specific to marine and offshore structures, including relevant codes such as SHELL DEP, AISC, ACI, and API.

- Accreditation:
- Maintain accreditation from a recognized institution or course/college in the respective country.

Desired Candidate Profile:

- Education:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Marine Engineering or Civil Engineering with a specialization in Marine Engineering.

- Experience:
- Minimum of 8 years of relevant experience in marine design and analysis.

- Skills:
- Thorough knowledge of marine design principles, including structural analysis, marine surveys, and project documentation.
