Job Title: Rotating Equipment Technician (Maintenance)

Position Overview:
Brunel is hosting an interview campaign for a Rotating Equipment Technician (Maintenance) role with a leading petrochemical company in Kuwait. This long-term opportunity involves contract hire through Brunel, with interviews scheduled in India.

Key Responsibilities:

- Maintenance & Overhauling:
- Perform maintenance, overhauling, and troubleshooting of rotating equipment including turbines, compressors, pumps, gearboxes, and blowers.
- Handle major overhauls of multistage centrifugal compressors, steam turbines, and turbo expanders.

- Technical Expertise:
- Utilize mechanical measuring instruments and alignment tools (reverse indicator, laser devices) for rotating equipment.
- Read and interpret technical drawings and manuals for equipment.

- Safety & Compliance:
- Adhere to safety standards and requirements specific to the petrochemical industry for maintenance activities.

- Planning & Reporting:
- Prepare lists of spare parts, special tools, and consumable materials required for maintenance.
- Compile reports using basic computer skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint.

- Turnaround Shutdowns:
- Independently manage activities related to the overhauling of turbo machinery.
- Participate in turnaround shutdowns for turbo machinery.

Desired Candidate Profile:

- Qualifications:
- Engineering degree or Diploma in a relevant field.

- Experience:
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in the maintenance of rotary equipment within the Oil & Gas or Petrochemical industry.

- Skills:
- Expertise in overhauling, troubleshooting, and maintaining rotating equipment.
- Familiarity with petrochemical safety standards and maintenance requirements.
- Proficient in using mechanical measuring instruments and alignment tools.
- Ability to prepare lists of required materials and report using Microsoft Office applications.
