Job Title: Accountant

Roles & Responsibilities:

- General Accounting:
- Perform daily accounting tasks including journal entries, accounts payable (A/P), accounts receivable (A/R), and reconciliations.
- Ensure the accurate finalization of accounts and prepare VAT returns.
- Maintain and update all financial accounts, ensuring that all transactions are posted properly to the ledger.

- Financial Management:
- Understand and manage the financial accountability of the store, ensuring accurate financial reporting.
- Engage in stock management of the drug store, ensuring that inventory records are up to date.

- Documentation and Compliance:
- Prepare and maintain documentation, including vouchers (cash, bank, journal) and invoices.
- Ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards and regulations, including VAT.

- Reporting and Communication:
- Maintain detailed financial records and generate reports as required.
- Communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing, to ensure clear reporting and collaboration.

- Responsibility and Attention to Detail:
- Demonstrate a high level of responsibility and attention to detail in all accounting tasks.
- Be an avid listener and proactive in identifying and addressing financial issues.

Desired Candidate Profile:

- Experience:
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in accounting within the UAE.
- Skills:
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Preferred Candidate:
- Preference for candidates from the Filipino community, though all qualified applicants will be considered.

- A responsible and detail-oriented individual who is committed to maintaining accurate financial records.
