Job Opportunity: Accounts Payable

Zain, a leading telecommunications company, is seeking a highly motivated and passionate candidate to join its Finance Department as an Accounts Payable Specialist. In this role, you will be responsible for performing various Accounts Payable activities, ensuring compliance with International Standards and Zain’s financial and accounting policies.

Main Responsibilities:
1. Prepare various financial reports, financial statements, and balance sheets, including income and loss statements, tax computations and returns, cost accounting reports, and account reconciliation on a daily, monthly, quarterly, and annual basis.
2. Collect information and prepare general ledger accounts, journal entries, and document monetary transactions accordingly.
3. Process Accounts Payable transactions accurately and on time.
4. Review and validate vendors'/suppliers' accounts, resolving any inconsistencies in balances or reconciliations, and taking necessary actions accordingly.
5. Record all transactions, such as petty cash, checks, credit cards, and income tax payments, on database management systems (e.g., Oracle) for future reference.
6. Handle income and social tax payments and prepare related statements for the Department of Income and Sales Tax.
7. Manage transactions related to leases, resolving any discrepancies and taking necessary actions.
8. Communicate with external parties, such as auditors, actuaries, bankers, and respond to vendors’ inquiries, negotiate terms, and reconcile their statements.
9. Develop and maintain a financial database for all financial statements, records, and documents.

Qualifications:
1. Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field.
2. Preferred: 2 years of relevant experience.
