Job Description
Job Title: Housekeeping Supervisor
Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Housekeeping Supervisor to lead our team of Housekeeping Attendants. This role is pivotal in ensuring exceptional cleanliness and maintenance standards within the hotel while delivering outstanding guest service. The ideal candidate will be committed to upholding high standards of hospitality and possess a proactive approach to problem-solving and team management.
Key Responsibilities:
- Team Supervision: Assign daily tasks to Housekeeping Attendants, issue keys and supplies, and ensure all tasks are completed efficiently.
- Guest Services: Monitor VIP requests, special needs (e.g., Do Not Disturb, Sleep Out, Double-Lock Rooms), and take appropriate action to ensure guest satisfaction.
- Daily Operations: Attend daily briefings, review special instructions, and manage guest check-outs before marking rooms as vacant.
- Quality Control: Inspect cleaned areas using a checklist to ensure cleanliness standards are met, replenish room supplies, and report any maintenance issues.
- Lost & Found: Document and report any found items to the Lost and Found department, and ensure accurate reporting.
- Training & Development: Train, mentor, and assist Housekeeping Attendants, providing feedback on performance and addressing any issues.
- Inventory Management: Assist with inventory management, ensuring all housekeeping equipment is well-maintained and handled properly.
Desired Candidate Profile:
Education & Experience:
- Diploma or vocational training in hospitality or a related field.
- Previous experience in a supervisory role within the Housekeeping Department of a hotel is preferred.
- Proficiency in written and spoken English; strong interpersonal and problem-solving skills are essential.
- Familiarity with computer systems, and experience with Opera is an advantage.
Knowledge & Competencies:
- Hotel Operations: Understanding of hotel operations and housekeeping procedures.
- Effective Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Planning & Organization: Ability to plan and organize tasks effectively.
- Team Management: Experience in supervising and training staff.
