Overview:
We are seeking a Senior Backend Engineer to join our cutting-edge team. You will work on some of the most exciting and innovative products being launched in the Middle East. This is a fully remote opportunity open to candidates globally.

Key Responsibilities:
- Develop Scalable Web Applications: Design and build secure, scalable, and functional backend web applications.
- Innovate: Monitor industry developments and trends to develop new programs, products, or features.
- Maintain and Improve Data Structures: Continuously maintain and optimize existing data structures for performance and scalability.
- Troubleshoot and Optimize: Analyze processes, data, and code to troubleshoot issues and identify areas for enhancement.
- Product Roadmap Collaboration: Collaborate with the product and operations teams to provide technical guidance and execute the product roadmap.

Key Skills:
- Database Design: Expertise in designing persistence and caching models using both SQL and NoSQL databases.
- Backend Development: Strong proficiency in PHP, especially with design patterns, components, and best practices. Experience with Laravel is a plus.
- MongoDB: Strong knowledge and experience working with MongoDB.
- API Development: Thorough understanding of RESTful JSON web API design principles.
- Version Control: Experience using version control systems like Git.
- Agile Methodology: Experience with Scrum and Agile methodologies.
- Documentation: Ability to document software solutions clearly using diagrams and flowcharts.
- Time Management: Strong multi-tasking, organizational, and time management skills to handle multiple projects and deadlines within budget.
- Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.

Required Qualifications:
- Experience: Minimum of 5+ years of experience as a PHP/Laravel developer.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
- Mentorship: Train and mentor junior developers, providing feedback, guidance, and fostering a supportive learning environment.
