Job Description
Position: Business Development Manager
Roles & Responsibilities
The Business Development Manager (BDM) will be responsible for identifying new business opportunities, fostering relationships with potential clients, and driving sales growth. The role involves managing the entire sales process, from lead generation to contract negotiation, while contributing to the strategic direction of the company. The BDM will work closely with various departments to ensure smooth execution of contracts and to provide insights for improving products and services.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Client Relationship Management:
- Identify and research potential clients.
- Develop and maintain long-term relationships with existing and new clients.
- Negotiate contract terms and communicate with all relevant stakeholders.
- Provide pre- and post-purchase support to customers as required.
2. Sales & Contract Management:
- Prepare and submit sales contracts, ensuring alignment with customer expectations.
- Monitor project teams to ensure contract execution as agreed.
- Track and manage the sales pipeline and add qualified prospects.
3. Market Research & Strategy:
- Conduct ongoing market research to identify trends and opportunities.
- Perform competitor analysis and provide insights to management to increase market share.
- Gather useful information from customer and competitor data to refine business strategies.
4. Business Growth & Partnerships:
- Develop and manage strategic partnerships to drive business growth.
- Identify new avenues of growth and target markets to increase revenue.
- Work with the pricing department to create competitive rate proposals.
5. Presentations & Reporting:
- Make and deliver presentations to prospective clients and internal executives.
- Track and report on the status of sales proposals, agreements, and sales trends.
- Provide updates to management on orders and sales performance.
6. Process Development:
- Create and implement processes and policies to support overall business operations.
- Maintain efficient communication and feedback channels with internal teams.
Secondary Responsibilities:
- Provide insights into upcoming trends and suggest product or service improvements.
- Stay updated with the latest market trends, products, and offerings from vendors and suppliers.
- Share knowledge through internal presentations and communications.
Desired Candidate Profile:
- Education:
- Minimum Bachelor’s degree, preferably with a focus on Business Administration, Marketing, or Sales.
- Experience:
- Minimum 5 years of business development experience, with at least 1 year in a strategic leadership role working directly with management.
- Experience in the Qatari market is preferred.
- Skills:
- Strong relationship-building and negotiation skills.
- Ability to work efficiently in a team and under the leadership of executive management.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficiency in market research, sales planning, and contract management.
