Job Description
Job Title: Control Center Duty Officer (Aviation/Airline)
Roles & Responsibilities
- Incident Management:
- Timely communicate any reported security incidents during the shift to the Duty Manager (DM) and initiate the preparation of incident/detailed security reports, following appropriate approval.
- System Checks & Maintenance:
- Perform daily functionality checks of CCTV, microphones, duress alarms, and AC systems.
- Maintain records, raise fault calls, and liaise with relevant departments to ensure security systems are in optimal working condition.
- Investigations:
- Conduct in-depth investigations based on concerns or complaints received from internal and external stakeholders.
- Maintain accurate records of investigations, produce factual reports, and flag trends with recommendations for mitigation to prevent security breaches.
- Coordination:
- Act as a liaison between the main Security Control Centre and extended Security Control Centres located at the Central Concourse (NSC) and Mid-field Control Centre (MSC).
- System Management & Development:
- Conduct regular meetings with the Security System and Hardware team to address operational challenges, amendments, and development scopes related to Access Control (AC) and Video Management System (VMS).
- Implement updates and revisions in AC and VMS systems in centralized and extended security control centres.
- Documentation & Training:
- Prepare, amend, and revise all BNs (Business Notices), SOPs (Standard Operating Procedures), CONOPS (Concepts of Operations), and internal training packages related to airport security operations.
- Ensure the Document Control System (DCS) is updated at all workstations in centralized and extended security control centres.
- Conduct on-job training for new staff and recurrent training for existing staff in AC and VMS.
- Identify and address the need for tailored training for staff.
- CCTV & Asset Management:
- Obtain appropriate approvals for extracting CCTV footage and snapshots based on business needs.
- Ensure CCTV footage and snapshots are stored and shared according to documented processes.
- Process asset request permits within the stipulated timeframe according to the latest documented process.
- Performance Reporting:
- Conduct periodic field of view (FOV) checks for priority-1/2 CCTV cameras to optimize coverage and ensure accurate operational views for investigations.
- Prepare and deliver weekly, bi-weekly, and monthly reports on the technical performance of all security systems.
- Identify critical trends or issues in the system and implement proactive measures to prevent system failure or malfunction.
Desired Candidate Profile
- Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent with a minimum of 5 years of experience in the aviation security domain.
- Alternatively, a High School qualification, vocational qualification, or diploma with a minimum of 4 years of job-related experience.
