Job Description:

Overview: The Senior Geophysicist Engineer plays a crucial role in seismic interpretation, field development, velocity models, exploration, and supporting various aspects of oil and gas operations. This role involves performing seismic interpretation as needed for exploration, appraisal, and field development goals. It also includes quality control of available interpretations, developing reliable time-depth relationship (TDR) and velocity models, and providing training to national staff.

Key Responsibilities:

Perform seismic interpretation for exploration, appraisal, and field development objectives.

Quality control (QC) available interpretations and velocity models.

Develop reliable time-depth relationship (TDR) and velocity models.

Support geologists, paraphysicists, and reservoir engineers in their activities.

Provide high-quality on-the-job training to national staff to enhance their skills and expertise.

Skills:

Seismic Interpretation: Proficiency in interpreting seismic data to identify subsurface structures and features.

Field Development: Understanding of the principles and practices related to field development in the oil and gas industry.

Velocity Models: Ability to create and work with velocity models for subsurface analysis.

Exploration: Knowledge and experience in exploration activities in the oil and gas sector.
