Job Description
Job Title: Accounting Officer/Accounting Specialist
Roles & Responsibilities:
1. Bank Reconciliation: Regularly reconcile bank statements with internal records to ensure accuracy. Investigate and resolve discrepancies, ensuring all transactions are recorded and accounted for correctly.
2. Bank Interest & Charges | Credit Card Charges: Monitor and record bank interest, charges, and credit card fees. Ensure accurate reflection of these transactions in ledgers and financial statements, with timely adjustments as necessary.
3. Intercompany Invoices (New Structure Transactions): Prepare, verify, and process intercompany invoices related to the corporate structure. Ensure accurate billing and resolve any discrepancies between entities.
4. Daily Currency Rate Update: Maintain daily updates of foreign exchange rates in the system to ensure accurate financial reporting for multi-currency transactions.
5. Prepayment Allocation: Handle the allocation and amortization of prepaid expenses. Ensure proper classification and allocation of prepaid items to the appropriate financial periods.
6. Non-PO Accrual: Manage and record accruals for expenses without purchase orders (e.g., rent, medical insurance). Ensure these accruals are reflected accurately in the financial statements.
7. Mobile Register Maintenance: Maintain an updated register of company-issued mobile devices, tracking user details, device status, and related expenses.
8. Spare IT Asset Register Maintenance: Keep an updated register of spare IT assets, recording user details, date of purchase, and device status.
