Job Title: Cashier/Teller

Roles & Responsibilities:

Service Delivery:

- Transaction Processing:
- Process transactions for Money Exchange, Remittance, Western Union, Instant Cash, Instant Draft, and Value Added Products efficiently.
- Identify customer needs and cross-sell products to maximize revenue.
- Ensure all activities comply with business and Anti-Money Laundering policies and procedures.
- Maintain confidentiality of customer information.

Financial:

- Revenue and Cash Handling:
- Drive revenue growth through exceptional service and cross-selling.
- Prepare cash bundles for deployment to Wholesale and other branches via Transguard, ensuring cash held is within assigned limits.
- Prepare money transfer parcels with proper verification and reconciliation.
- Undertake end-of-day processing, including application sorting for reconciliation.
- Handle inter-counter transactions and maintain accurate receipts.
- Ensure POS machine reports match executed transactions.

Process and Operations:

- Cash Management and Compliance:
- Physically keep track of cash amounts and perform KYC procedures as per UAE Central Bank and company policies.
- Prepare remittance applications and raise STR reports for suspicious transactions.
- Proactively identify and address concerns related to risk and cost optimization.
- Prepare end-of-day reports, ensuring currency reconciliation against daily stock reports.
- Report discrepancies using appropriate processes.
- Enter transactions accurately into the AS400 system/common gateway.

Customer Focus:

- Customer Service:
- Provide superior customer service by handling queries, complaints, amendments, and cancellations according to procedures.
- Build and maintain good relationships with customers.
- Report suspicious customer activities to relevant departments.

Compliance:

- Regulatory Adherence:
- Ensure services comply with CBUAE and WSE policies and procedures.
- Raise concerns related to compliance and risk, following whistleblowing procedures if necessary.
- Stay aware of compliance responsibilities and participate in risk and compliance awareness programs, including onboarding and annual refresher training.
