Job Title: Chief Accountant

Job Summary:
The Chief Accountant will oversee the financial operations of Paris Group across all GCC regions, ensuring accurate financial reporting, compliance with regulatory standards, and effective financial management. This role requires a detail-oriented and strategic thinker with a solid background in the fashion retail industry.

Key Responsibilities:

Financial Management:
- Oversee the preparation of financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements for all GCC regions.
- Manage the company’s accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger.
- Ensure accurate and timely month-end and year-end close processes.

Budgeting and Forecasting:
- Develop and manage annual budgets and financial forecasts for all GCC operations.
- Monitor and analyze budget variances and provide actionable insights to management.
- Assist in financial planning and strategy development.

Compliance and Auditing:
- Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations, as well as company policies in all GCC regions.
- Coordinate and oversee internal and external audits.
- Maintain and enforce a system of internal controls.

Financial Analysis:
- Conduct financial analysis to support business decisions and strategy.
- Provide financial insights and recommendations to senior management.
- Evaluate financial performance by comparing and analyzing actual results with plans and forecasts.

Desired Candidate Profile:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. CMA or equivalent certification preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of 10 years of experience in accounting, with at least 5 years in a senior accounting role within the fashion retail industry.
- Knowledge: In-depth knowledge of accounting principles, financial regulations, and industry standards.
- Skills: Proficiency in accounting software and advanced Excel skills.
- Attributes: Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills; excellent leadership and team management abilities; high level of integrity and attention to detail.
- Communication: Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Regional Experience: Experience managing financial operations across multiple regions, preferably within the GCC.
