Job Description

Position: Chief Medical Officer
Education: Doctor of Medicine (MD) (General Medicine, Pediatrics)

Job Overview:
We are seeking a visionary and compassionate Chief Medical Officer (CMO) to lead our new outpatient center dedicated to providing exceptional care for children with neurological developmental disorders. This facility aims to become the leading center for pediatric care in the region. The CMO will develop and implement medical policies, protocols, and clinical strategies to ensure high service quality and therapeutic outcomes. Reporting directly to the CEO, the CMO will oversee all medical aspects of the operations.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Strategy Creation & Implementation:
- Provide strategic direction and clinical leadership to the medical team, including physicians, therapists, nurses, and support staff.
- Develop and implement medical policies and procedures that comply with local and international standards.
- Lead the organization in achieving international accreditations and certifications (e.g., JCI, CARF, AAAHC).

2. Performance & Quality Management:
- Support the development of a comprehensive program to monitor and improve clinical performance.
- Assess broad and specific clinical performance, ensuring the integration of best practices into protocols.

3. Research:
- Engage in meaningful research independently and with international centers of excellence.
- Develop and manage the center’s research program while ensuring compliance with applicable laws and ethical standards.

4. Organizational Development & Collaboration:
- Collaborate with clinical and non-clinical personnel to develop individualized treatment plans for patients with neurodevelopmental disorders.
- Engage and manage diverse teams including pediatric neurologists, rehabilitation specialists, and therapists.

5. Client Management:
- Partner with families and caregivers to educate them about treatment options and support services.
- Provide compassionate support throughout the care continuum.

Desired Candidate Profile:

Education:
- Doctor of Medicine (M.D.) from an accredited medical school in North America, Europe, or Australia.
- Board certification in pediatric neurology from a reputable organization (e.g., ABPN, ABPMR).
- Active home country license to practice medicine.

Experience:
- 10-16 years in a senior medical management position within a hospital or healthcare organization.
- Published research related to pediatric neurological developmental disorders.
- Experience in a research environment and understanding medical center financials (P&L statements).

Additional Requirements:
- Obsessed with patient satisfaction and safety.
- Responsible, accountable, and proactive.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills; proficiency in English is mandatory; Arabic fluency is a plus.
- Presentable with a pleasing personality, proactive, and approachable.
