Job Title: Financial Analyst

Responsibilities:

As a Financial Analyst, you will report to the CFO and have a hierarchical reporting structure to the CEO. Your responsibilities will include:

Cost Accounting and Management Reporting: Engaging in cost accounting and management reporting tasks.
Risk Management Reporting: Preparing and presenting risk management reports.
Advisory Role: Providing advice on financial problems and suggestions, and assisting in the decision-making process with a keen attention to detail.
CAPEX Proposal Preparation: Preparing proposals for capital expenditures (CAPEX).
Forecasts and Business Planning: Participating in the preparation of forecasts and supporting business planning activities.
Risk Assessment: Conducting risk assessments and advising on ways to minimize or mitigate risk.
Management and Cost Accounting Reports: Developing procedures and terms for the preparation of management and cost accounting reports.
Taxation Knowledge: Demonstrating knowledge of UAE tax laws and other regulatory legal acts governing taxation for entities and individuals, as well as key international agreements related to taxes and fees.
Software Proficiency: Utilizing standard MS Office software, with a particular focus on Excel for financial analysis.
Budget Analysis: Performing plan-factor analysis of income and expenditure budgets and preparing analytical reviews for identified deviations.
Time Sheet Management: Maintaining time sheets for employees, ensuring daily, timely completion either on paper or electronically.

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree (BSc/BA) in accounting, finance, or a related field.
Relevant certification such as CMA (Certified Management Accountant) or CGMA (Chartered Global Management Accountant) will be preferred.
Business acumen with at least 3 to 5 years of work experience within the commodity trading industry is preferred.
