Job Title: IT Officer

As an IT Officer, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of computer systems and networks within the organization. Your role will involve a wide range of tasks related to hardware, software, network infrastructure, and technical support.

Responsibilities:

1. Installing and Configuring Hardware and Software:
- Install and configure computer hardware, operating systems, and applications.
- Set up servers, storage systems, laptops, and desktops.
- Configure all types of network and local printers.

2. Technical Support:
- Provide desktop and server support to end-users.
- Offer remote technical support for troubleshooting and issue resolution.
- Support tablets and smartphones as needed.

3. Monitoring and Maintenance:
- Monitor and maintain computer systems and networks to ensure optimal performance and uptime.
- Conduct regular maintenance tasks and perform system updates.
- Conduct electrical safety checks on computer equipment.

4. Fault Reporting and Logging:
- Report faults and maintain logs on servers, desktops, laptops, network equipment, printers, etc.
- Manage IT assets inventory and track equipment status.

5. Security and Antivirus:
- Install antivirus software on all desktops and laptops locally and centrally.
- Ensure compliance with security protocols and best practices.

6. Application Support:
- Support the roll-out of new applications and software updates.
- Configure and troubleshoot MS Outlook email accounts and provide backup support.

7. Network and Communication Systems:
- Support access control, CCTV, and attendance systems.
- Install, program, maintain, and support Panasonic PABX and telephone systems.

8. User Account Management:
- Set up new user accounts and profiles and handle password-related issues.
- Work on Active Directory accounts and configure Blackberrys and laptops.
- Add/Delete server roles and features and configure network infrastructure roles.

Requirements:

- Minimum 5 years of relevant experience, with at least 3 years in Dubai.
- Strong knowledge of computer hardware, operating systems, and software applications.
- Proficiency in network infrastructure setup and configuration.
- Experience with technical support and troubleshooting.
- Familiarity with security protocols and antivirus software.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
- Attention to detail and strong problem-solving abilities.
