Job Title: MEP Engineer

Roles & Responsibilities

- Project Management:
- Manage multiple MEP projects, including HVAC, electrical, and plumbing systems.
- Ensure smooth progression from design to delivery stages, addressing any issues that arise.

- Design & Planning:
- Utilize project management software, AutoCAD, and word processing programs to develop MEP plans.
- Prepare cost estimates for electrical, plumbing, air conditioning, heating, and ventilation systems.

- Team Coordination:
- Oversee the work of project teams, ensuring adherence to project schedules.
- Coordinate on-site activities with architects, structural engineers, and electrical engineers.

- Technical Oversight:
- Provide installation, maintenance, and technical advice on MEP systems to service providers, supervisors, and inspectors.
- Inspect and analyze engineering issues related to MEP features, providing solutions as needed.
- Review contractor drawings and installation method statements for compliance with MEP design plans.

- Quality Control & Safety:
- Monitor the work of laborers, sub-contractors, consultants, and other construction professionals, ensuring high standards of work.
- Ensure adherence to on-site health and safety policies, educating crew members on compliance.
- Conduct off-site inspections of MEP equipment and materials for regulatory compliance and project suitability.

- Problem-Solving:
- Make technical clarifications and resolve coordination issues.
- Implement design modifications to accommodate specific on-site construction requirements.

- Deadlines:
- Ensure all project milestones and deadlines are met.

Desired Candidate Profile

- Educational Background:
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.

- Experience:
- Minimum of five years of construction experience with a strong understanding of HVAC, electrical, and plumbing systems.
- Experience in the UAE construction industry is required.

- Skills:
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting plans, prints, specifications, and schematics.
- Computer literacy, particularly in project management software and AutoCAD.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.

Additional Requirements

- UAE Work Experience:
- Must have previous work experience in the UAE, familiar with local construction procedures and practices.
