Job Description

Job Title: School Learning Support Assistant

We are seeking a dedicated full-time Learning Support Assistant (LSA) to work with a learner in a mainstream school setting under the supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA). The candidate must have prior experience working with children with special needs, ideally with previous Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) experience. Training will be provided by a BCBA Outreach Consultant to ensure the successful implementation of a verbal behavior program.

Responsibilities:

- Conduct 1:1 and group sessions with the learner in the school setting, following the verbal behavior program supervised by a BCBA.
- Prepare and organize teaching materials required for each session, ensuring all materials are ready and in good condition.
- Maintain program materials and data collection sheets, including updating program books and replenishing daily session materials.
- Provide objective daily reports on the learner’s performance to parents.
- Adhere to the BACB Professional and Ethical Compliance Code for Behavior Analysts, following all conduct and professional guidelines.
- Implement all recommendations outlined by the BCBA Outreach Consultant following consultation.
- Participate in competency evaluations of instruction and achieve passing scores.
- Provide 1:1 instruction or assistance exclusively to the assigned learner during school hours.

Other Requirements:

- Must possess a kind, warm, and energetic personality with the ability to build rapport with young learners.
- Excellent spoken and written English skills are essential.
- Candidate must reside in Dubai and hold their own visa.
- Conduct weekly 30-minute Zoom calls with the learner's parent to share information and updates.
- Start Date: Monday, 26th August.

Experience:

- 2-3 years’ experience working in schools, preferably with children with special needs.
- Qualification in special education or a related field is preferable.
- Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) certification is required.
- Experience working under the supervision of a BCBA is preferred.

Working Conditions:

- Hours: School day hours (approximately 7:30am to 3:30pm).
- Days: 5 days per week.
- Annual Leave: Aligned with school holidays.
