Job Description

Job Title: Senior Executive - Cost Control

Roles & Responsibilities:

- Cost Estimation and Analysis:
- Partner with project managers and sales teams during the bidding stage to develop accurate and competitive cost estimates.
- Analyze market trends and identify cost-saving opportunities for materials, labor, and subcontractors.

- Cost Control and Monitoring:
- Monitor and track project costs throughout the entire lifecycle, from procurement to installation.
- Analyze cost variances between actual spending and budgeted amounts, identifying root causes of deviations.
- Prepare detailed cost reports and forecasts, keeping stakeholders informed of project financial health.

- Strategic Planning:
- Support the development of long-term cost control strategies for the elevator business.
- Recommend and implement cost-saving measures to mitigate budget overruns.

- Collaboration and Communication:
- Work collaboratively with all departments (engineering, procurement, operations) to gather cost data and ensure adherence to cost control procedures.
- Ensure that all project costs are aligned with contractual agreements and company standards.

- Documentation and Reporting:
- Ensure proper documentation for all project expenditures and financial reports.
- Evaluate the financial impact of project changes and delays.

- Process Improvement:
- Continuously evaluate and refine internal cost control processes for efficiency and accuracy.
- Develop and implement cost-management training programs for relevant personnel.

Desired Candidate Profile:

- Experience:
- Proven experience in cost control or financial management within a project-based environment, ideally in the elevator or construction industry.
- Strong background in cost estimation, budgeting, and financial analysis.

- Skills:
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to identify cost variances and implement corrective actions.
- Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with project managers, sales teams, and other departments.
- Proficiency in cost control software and financial reporting tools.

- Education:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Engineering, or a related field. Professional certification (e.g., CPA, ACCA) is a plus.
