Job Description

Job Title: Supply Chain Deliveries Manager

Purpose of the Job

The Supply Chain Deliveries Manager is responsible for leading NFPC delivery services for a diverse and strategic portfolio of customers, including trade customers and various channels such as Modern Trade, HoReCa, and Petrol Stations. The role focuses on optimal resource utilization, implementing continuous improvement projects, and coordinating with the sales and supply chain team to achieve delivery targets.

Key Accountabilities

1. Order Management
- Review and manage the order process to ensure effective resource utilization and timely delivery.
- Oversee the lifecycle of sales orders from placement to fulfillment.
- Achieve a customer-centric delivery plan according to agreed terms.
- Partner with the Planning Manager to ensure product availability for promotions and market activities.
- Identify trends and opportunities for operational efficiency improvements.

Measurable KPIs:
- On-time and full delivery
- Delivery lead time execution

2. Planning & Budgeting
- Assist in preparing the annual budget and operating plan for the SC Delivery department.
- Highlight manpower and equipment needs, cost-saving initiatives, and departmental budgets.
- Conduct efficiency studies and make recommendations for optimal resource allocation.
- Adjust staff schedules based on market dynamics and use territory planner systems to improve delivery efficiency.
- Review operational costs against budgets and volume handled, recommending cost optimization initiatives.

Measurable KPIs:
- Operational cost to volume
- Budget vs. actual

3. Operation & Execution
- Conduct morning briefings with Asst. Distribution Managers/Supervisors to review targets and daily plans.
- Review and manage order processes for accuracy and efficiency.
- Optimize transportation routes to minimize costs and maximize efficiency.

Measurable KPIs:
- Productivity (department)

4. Information and Customer Relationship Management
- Oversee the maintenance and update of customer information for accurate order deliveries.
- Manage customer interactions and relationships throughout the sales cycle.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to improve order processing and delivery.
- Utilize CRM systems to track customer preferences and purchase history.

Measurable KPIs:
- Delivery Efficiency (trips/truck)

5. Routing
- Use Roadnet for truck utilization and route efficiency.
- Utilize territory planner systems for re-routing as per business needs.
- Review and optimize delivery paths using GIS, vehicle types, load capacities, and GPS systems.

- Delivery Efficiency (trips/truck)

6. Order Returns
- Monitor and analyze sales returns to address root causes.
- Partner with sales to resolve delivery delays or rejections, ensuring minimal double handling costs.
- Define and agree on order return policies with Channel Managers.

- Case On-Time Rate
- Order Return Rate

7. Fleet Management
- Manage fleet efficiency, route compliance, and market execution using GPS monitoring.
- Ensure regular checks and maintenance of company trucks to meet safety and quality standards.
- Liaise with the fleet department to resolve issues and minimize downtimes.

- Project Completion
- Capacity Utilization

8. Reports and Dashboard
- Review department performance and propose performance indicators.
- Work with IT to design and automate logistics reporting.
- Track KPIs to minimize inefficiencies and improve customer service.

9. People Management
- Lead, coach, and evaluate employee performance.
- Engage and motivate employees to achieve business results.
- Manage performance and development processes.
- Plan employee leaves, assignments, and facilitate work.
- Involve in employee selection, onboarding, and termination.
- Plan skill development to enhance departmental performance.

Measurable KPIs:
- Overall performance vs. employee performance evaluation score
- Completion of Performance, Development & training plan IFOT

Desired Candidate Profile

- Experience: 10-12 years, with experience in managing last-mile deliveries and Modern Trade.
- Education: Graduate degree, preferably in engineering or business.
- Skills:
- Strong knowledge of route planning and optimization.
- Experience in managing deliveries from DC warehouse to customers.
- Experience in managing deliveries for Modern Trade.
