Job Description
Position: Trade Marketing Manager
Experience: 5 - 10 Years
Education: MBA/PG Diploma in Business Management (Marketing)
Roles & Responsibilities:
Strategic Duties:
1. Trade Marketing Strategy Development:
- Develop and implement tailored trade marketing strategies for the ARF product category.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Sales, Marketing, Supply Chain) to ensure trade marketing aligns with overall business goals.
- Identify growth opportunities and initiate new trade projects in line with category objectives.
2. Category Management:
- Analyze sales data, customer insights, and market trends to enhance product placement, promotions, and pricing strategies for ARF products.
- Work closely with the category/brand management team to ensure trade strategies align with brand needs.
- Oversee product life cycle management, including launches, end-of-life, and seasonal promotions.
- Ensure timely delivery of promotional materials and compliance with brand guidelines.
3. Channel Marketing:
- Develop channel-specific marketing plans for supermarkets, hypermarkets, large groceries, mini markets, small groceries, wholesale stores, discount stores, and HoReCa channels.
- Execute retail activation programs, including in-store displays, POS materials, loyalty programs, sampling, and promotions.
- Collaborate with key retail partners to drive joint marketing initiatives.
- Work closely with key account managers and National Sales Managers to develop joint business plans aligned with customer goals.
- Manage and execute retailer-specific promotions with timely delivery and proper execution.
4. Sales Support:
- Provide sales teams with tools, materials, and insights to enhance their efforts in driving sales volume and value.
- Plan and execute trade promotions such as discount schemes, volume incentives, and seasonal campaigns to drive incremental sales.
- Develop promotional plans, trade incentives, and training programs for retail customers and sales teams.
- Monitor trade marketing budgets and provide ROI analysis on campaigns. Adjust strategies to optimize sales and profitability.
5. Market & Competitor Analysis:
- Regularly conduct market analysis to assess the competitive landscape, consumer trends, and trade activities.
- Provide feedback to senior management on market trends and recommend improvement actions.
- Track competitor pricing, promotions, and engagement strategies to inform trade marketing activities.
Desired Candidate Profile:
1. Strong understanding of trade marketing principles and FMCG industry dynamics.
2. Experience working with retail customers, distributors, and suppliers.
3. Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
4. Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret sales data and market trends.
5. Proficiency in trade promotion management and budget management tools.
6. 5+ years of experience in trade marketing within the FMCG industry, with a focus on dairy, bakery, or short-life products.
Language Requirements:
- Excellent command of English.
- Proficiency in Arabic is highly essential.
