Site Engineer

Job Title: Site Engineer

Roles & Responsibilities:

1. Site Supervision and Execution:
- Oversee the execution of shutdown activities on-site, including valve overhauling, removal, installation, and inspection.
- Ensure all work is conducted according to the approved schedule, safety protocols, and quality standards.
- Coordinate with the Planning Engineer to align site activities with the overall shutdown plan.

2. Technical Guidance and Problem-Solving:
- Provide technical guidance and support to site technicians and subcontractors during the execution of shutdown activities.
- Troubleshoot and resolve any technical issues or challenges that arise on-site to avoid delays.
- Ensure all activities comply with mechanical specifications, industry standards, and client requirements.

3. Safety and Compliance:
- Enforce strict adherence to safety procedures and protocols on-site to ensure a safe working environment.
- Conduct site safety briefings and toolbox talks, ensuring all personnel are aware of hazards and safety measures.
- Ensure compliance with relevant industry regulations and environmental standards during task execution.

4. Resource Management:
- Manage and coordinate the allocation of resources on-site, including manpower, tools, equipment, and materials.
- Monitor resource usage to ensure work is completed efficiently and within budget.
- Ensure all materials and equipment are available and in good condition to prevent disruptions in the work schedule.

5. Quality Assurance and Inspection:
- Conduct regular inspections of work performed to ensure compliance with quality standards and client specifications.
- Ensure proper testing and inspection procedures are followed for valves and other mechanical systems.
- Address any quality issues immediately and ensure corrective actions are implemented.

6. Communication and Coordination:
- Serve as the main point of contact between the site and the project management team.
- Provide regular updates on progress, potential delays, and any issues needing attention.
- Facilitate clear communication between site teams, subcontractors, and client representatives to ensure smooth operations.

7. Documentation and Reporting:
- Maintain accurate records of all site activities, including work completed, inspections performed, and any issues encountered.
- Prepare and submit daily/weekly reports to the project management team, detailing progress, resource usage, and any deviations from the plan.
- Ensure all documentation is properly filed and archived for future reference.

- Experience: Proven experience in site supervision, particularly in shutdown activities related to valve overhauling, removal, installation, and inspection.
- Skills:

- Education: Relevant engineering degree or equivalent qualification.
