About the Role: Sales Assistant
Sales Assistants at GMG play a crucial role in delivering exceptional service and maximizing sales opportunities. They are responsible for interacting with customers, providing product information, and ensuring a positive shopping experience.
Core Responsibilities:
1. Product Knowledge:
- Describe product features and benefits.
- Demonstrate the use and handling of products.
- Educate clients on brand quality standards and specifications.
2. Customer Interaction:
- Advise customers on product ranges suitable for their needs.
- Answer customer queries and assist in decision-making.
- Provide information on warranties, features, specifications, and product care.
3. Sales and Promotion:
- Achieve sales targets using sales techniques, up-selling, and cross-selling.
- Keep informed about new product launches, promotional events, and sales.
- Ensure accurate pricing and adherence to company standards.
4. Transaction Handling:
- Receive and process cash, change, and credit payments.
- Generate invoices and receipts.
- Operate as a cashier with accuracy in money handling.
5. After-Sales and Operations:
- Follow after-sales processes, repair/return policies, and procedures.
- Adhere to loss prevention, inventory controls, and standard operating procedures.
6. Store Maintenance:
- Assist in store merchandising, product placement, and arrangement.
- Maintain high standards of housekeeping and grooming in the store.
Self-Management:
- Define performance goals in collaboration with the reporting manager.
- Take ownership of personal learning and development.
- Stay updated on professional developments and industry trends.
