Job Title: Technical Sales Engineer - Pipelines
Reports to: Sales Manager
Job Purpose:
We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Technical Pipeline Sales Engineer with expertise in metallic pipes. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in driving our sales initiatives, providing technical support, and building lasting relationships with clients. As a Technical Pipe Sales Engineer, you will combine your knowledge of pipelines with excellent communication and problem-solving skills to meet and exceed sales targets.
Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Technical Expertise:
- Demonstrate in-depth knowledge of metallic pipes, their specifications, and applications.
- Stay abreast of industry trends, product developments, and emerging technologies related to carbon steel pipes.
2. Sales and Business Development:
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities to expand our client base.
- Collaborate with the sales team to develop and implement effective sales strategies.
- Achieve and exceed sales targets by actively promoting carbon steel pipe products.
3. Client Relationship Management:
- Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and potential clients.
- Provide technical support and guidance to clients, addressing their specific needs and requirements.
4. Collaboration:
- Work closely with internal teams, including logistics, procurement, and engineering, to ensure seamless order fulfillment.
- Collaborate with the marketing team to develop materials and campaigns that promote carbon steel pipe products.
5. Market Analysis:
- Conduct market research to identify trends, competitor activities, and potential areas for business growth.
- Provide insights and recommendations based on market analysis.
Qualifications:
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering
Skills and Experience:
- 4 years of proven experience in technical sales, specifically in the field of metallic pipes within O&G.
- Strong understanding of pipe specifications, industry standards, and manufacturing processes.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Proven track record of meeting and exceeding sales targets.
