Job Title: Pool Lifeguard
1. Guest Service:
- Provide a safe, secured, courteous, professional, efficient, and flexible service at all times, following Hotel Standards of Performance.
- Handle guest and employee inquiries in a courteous and efficient manner.
- Report guest complaints or problems to supervisors and assure follow-up with guests.
2. Knowledge and Recommendations:
- Have a thorough understanding and knowledge of all hotel-related services and products.
- Make recommendations to hotel guests regarding facilities and services.
3. Pool Maintenance:
- Be responsible for the quality of the pool water, including verifying pH and chlorine levels at least twice daily.
- Record water values and report any discrepancies to the Fitness Manager.
- Assist in maintaining the pool in impeccable cleaning conditions, including the removal of small floating objects.
4. Presence and Log Keeping:
- Maintain a mandatory presence near the pool from 06:30 am to 10:00 pm with a one-hour break for meals.
- Register all movements at the pool in a logbook, collected and returned to the security office daily.
5. Swimming Lessons and Rules:
- Provide swimming lessons if requested and approved by superiors.
- Reinforce pool rules at all times and ensure the hygienic condition of the pool is respected by everyone.
6. Fitness and Security Collaboration:
- Remain physically fit and continuously refresh life-saving techniques as per job requirements.
- Collaborate with the Fitness Manager and Fitness Instructor as needed.
- Respond to changes in the Fitness and Security Department function as dictated by the hotel.
7. Emergency Response:
- Be fully conversant with every detail of first aid.
- Be familiar with the hotel’s alarm system, emergency plans, and procedures for lost and found items.
- Comply with safety regulations, procedures, and ensure the team observes safety precautions and uses safety equipment.
- Alert the Fitness Manager, Chief Security Officer, Manager on Duty, Resident Manager, or General Manager in case of any emergency at the pool.
8. Professionalism and Diplomacy:
- Project at all times a positive and motivated attitude and exercise self-control.
- Handle all tasks with diplomacy, tact, appropriate discretion, and efficiency.
