Job Description: Security Supervisor

Key Deliverables and Responsibilities:

Supervision and Leadership:
- Establish a clear chain of command and responsibility, reporting to the Assistant Operations Manager, Assistant Director, and Director of Security.
- Follow the Duty Roster prepared by the Director of Security or Assistant Director of Security.
- Be accountable for the overall performance of on-duty security personnel and security-related matters.
- Promote a "service-oriented" approach, embodying the image of a "gentleman" rather than an "officer."

Customer Service and Host Duties:
- Act as a host by personally welcoming arriving guests and bidding farewell to departing guests.
- Greet guests, offer assistance, and lead them if uncertain about the hotel's premises.
- Inform and promote other hotel facilities to all visitors.
- Conduct regular patrols of the building during the duty shift.

Training and Discipline:
- Train new LPOs, update SOP exams, and inspect and brief security personnel before deployment.
- Enforce discipline and report incidents of indiscipline appropriately.
- Ensure security officers are physically and mentally fit, referring those found incapable to the Company-appointed Clinic.
- Conduct regular checks on all field officers to assure alertness and efficiency.

Investigations and Surveillance:
- Conduct investigations and report on criminal acts, losses, accidents, and staff misconduct.
- Protect and preserve the integrity of the department by monitoring officers' work attitudes and conduct.
- Gather intelligence, cultivate informers, and ensure peace and order within the hotel premises.

Equipment and Administration:
- Inspect and maintain equipment, including fire exit doors, alarm systems, fire-fighting equipment, walkie-talkies, and CCTV equipment.
- Conduct routine checks on pocket books, security desk occurrence book, gate passes, security passes, keys, and key registers.
- Prepare meal rosters, reflect department activities in the Daily Security Report, and attend briefing sessions and training.

Personal Attributes:
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality.
- Understanding and ability to work in a multicultural environment.

Qualifications:
- Post-secondary school education with professional security qualifications preferred.

Experience:
- Minimum 2–3 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in a 5-star hotel.
- At least 1 year of experience in a supervisory role.
