Telecom Engineer (IBS)

Responsibilities:

1. Pre-Site Survey: Conduct RF coverage surveys, including frequency scan tests and walk test reviews.

2. Design Preparation: Develop distributed antenna system (DAS) plans and designs for TETRA/GSM/UMTS/LTE networks using tools such as Visio, AutoCAD, and iBwave.

3. Budget Calculation: Perform link and power budget calculations and arrange bill of quantity.

4. Active DAS Designs: Create designs for active DAS in large-scale buildings.

5. Quality Assurance: Ensure sites meet quality and standards requirements.

6. Walk Tests: Conduct walk tests for signal coverage and quality, reviewing performance metrics.

7. Result Analysis: Analyze walk test results, including Rx Level, Rx Qual, RSCP, Ec/NO, VSWR, PIM, RTWP, and other KPIs.

8. Documentation: Prepare and organize documentation, including TSSR, design pack, DAS installation quality documents, and walk test result reports.

9. Indoor Optimization: Optimize indoor coverage for enhanced performance.

10. Customer Interaction: Interact with customers to clarify technical issues and ensure satisfaction.

11. Compliance and Reporting: Ensure compliance with standards and provide vigilant reporting.

12. Sub-Contractor Management: Manage sub-contractors involved in the project.

Skills:

- Bachelor's degree in an engineering subject.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as an Engineer in a telecoms company.
- Proficient in using drive/walk test equipment (e.g., TEMS) and analyzing results.
- Experience with Site Master for VSWR measurements and Spectrum Analyzer for signal tests.
- Excel proficiency for generating link budgets and other analyses.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Enthusiastic, self-reliant, and capable of multitasking.
- Strong team leadership and managerial skills.
- Honest with a strong work ethic.
