Job Description

Job Title: Mechanical Superintendent

Roles & Responsibilities:

- Oversight and Supervision:
- Oversee and manage mechanical maintenance and shutdown activities in oil & gas facilities, focusing on static equipment including heat exchangers, pressure vessels, columns, and fin fans.
- Supervise mechanical teams to ensure that maintenance activities are carried out efficiently and safely.

- Project Management:
- Plan, coordinate, and execute maintenance and turnaround projects, ensuring alignment with project schedules and objectives.
- Ensure all mechanical activities meet industry standards and regulatory requirements.

- Technical Expertise:
- Provide high-level technical expertise for the maintenance and repair of static equipment.
- Troubleshoot complex mechanical issues and implement solutions to minimize downtime.

- Team Leadership:
- Lead and mentor a team of mechanical engineers and technicians, providing guidance and support to achieve high performance and adherence to safety standards.
- Facilitate training and development programs to enhance team skills and knowledge.

- Compliance and Safety:
- Ensure strict adherence to safety regulations, company policies, and quality standards during all mechanical operations.
- Conduct safety audits and risk assessments to identify and mitigate potential hazards.

- Documentation and Reporting:
- Maintain comprehensive documentation of maintenance activities, including reports on equipment performance and issues.
- Prepare and present detailed reports to management on project progress, challenges, and achievements.

- Vendor and Stakeholder Management:
- Coordinate with vendors and contractors to ensure timely and cost-effective procurement of materials and services.
- Communicate effectively with stakeholders to align mechanical activities with overall project goals.

Desired Candidate Profile:

- Experience:
- Minimum of 6 years of GCC experience in shutdown/turnaround oil & gas maintenance with a strong background in handling static equipment.
- Prior Gulf experience is preferred.

- Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.

- Skills and Attributes:
- Proven leadership and team management skills.
- Extensive knowledge of static equipment maintenance and troubleshooting.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
