Job Description
Job Title: Mechanical Supervisor/WPR
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Supervision and Coordination:
- Supervise and coordinate mechanical maintenance activities, including shutdowns and turnarounds in oil and gas sectors.
- Oversee the inspection, maintenance, and repair of static equipment such as heat exchangers, pressure vessels, columns, and fin fans.
- Project Management:
- Ensure compliance with project schedules, safety standards, and quality control measures.
- Manage and direct mechanical teams to achieve project objectives and resolve any technical issues that arise.
- Technical Expertise:
- Utilize in-depth knowledge of mechanical systems to diagnose and address equipment failures.
- Provide technical guidance and support to team members on complex maintenance tasks and repairs.
- Compliance and Safety:
- Ensure adherence to health, safety, and environmental (HSE) regulations and company policies.
- Implement and monitor safety procedures to prevent accidents and ensure a safe working environment.
- Documentation and Reporting:
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, inspections, and repairs.
- Prepare and submit regular reports on project progress, issues, and resolutions.
- Quality Control:
- Conduct inspections and audits to ensure mechanical work meets industry standards and project specifications.
- Implement corrective actions as needed to address quality issues and improve performance.
- Coordination with Other Departments:
- Liaise with project managers, engineers, and other departments to ensure alignment on project goals and requirements.
- Coordinate with procurement and logistics teams to ensure timely availability of materials and equipment.
Desired Candidate Profile:
- Experience:
- Minimum of 6 years of experience in GCC shutdown/turnaround maintenance in the oil and gas industry.
- Proven experience with static equipment including heat exchangers, pressure vessels, columns, and fin fans.
- Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.
- Skills and Attributes:
- Strong leadership and supervisory skills with the ability to manage and motivate a team.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Experience working in Gulf countries is preferred.
