Job Title: Senior Planning Engineer

Roles & Responsibilities:

- Planning and Scheduling:
- Develop and maintain detailed project schedules using Primavera P6, including timelines, milestones, and resource allocation for shutdowns and turnarounds in oil & gas maintenance.
- Monitor project progress and update schedules as needed to reflect changes and ensure alignment with project objectives.

- Project Coordination:
- Coordinate with engineering, procurement, and construction teams to ensure timely and efficient execution of maintenance activities.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to integrate project plans and resolve scheduling conflicts.

- Resource Management:
- Manage and allocate resources effectively, including labor, equipment, and materials, to optimize project performance and minimize downtime.
- Evaluate resource requirements and make recommendations for adjustments as necessary.

- Performance Monitoring:
- Track project performance and progress, identifying potential delays or issues and implementing corrective actions to maintain schedule adherence.
- Prepare and present progress reports, forecasts, and performance metrics to senior management and stakeholders.

- Risk Management:
- Identify potential risks and constraints affecting project schedules and develop mitigation strategies to address them.
- Ensure proactive risk management practices are in place to minimize impact on project timelines.

- Documentation and Reporting:
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date project documentation, including schedules, reports, and correspondence.
- Prepare detailed reports on project status, schedule deviations, and progress for review by project management.

- Compliance and Standards:
- Ensure all planning activities comply with company policies, industry standards, and project-specific requirements.
- Maintain adherence to safety and quality standards throughout the planning and execution phases.

- Team Collaboration:
- Work closely with project managers, engineers, and other team members to support project planning and execution.
- Provide guidance and support to junior planners and scheduling staff as needed.

Desired Candidate Profile:

- Experience:
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in GCC shutdown/turnaround oil & gas maintenance projects, with a strong focus on static equipment (heat exchangers, pressure vessels, columns, fin fans).
- Proficiency in Primavera P6.

- Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.

- Skills and Attributes:
- Strong expertise in project planning and scheduling, with proven experience in Primavera P6.
- Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
