Job Title: Project Engineering Manager About Petrofac: Petrofac is a leading international service provider to the energy industry, offering a range of services, including designing, building, managing, and maintaining infrastructure. Key Responsibilities: 1. Participate in the planning and scheduling of the engineering scope for the project. 2. Provide inputs for the project technical document register and procurement register. 3. Ensure that the Engineering team lead engineers address the project’s manpower requirements. 4. Monitor engineering progress, address shortfalls, and develop recovery plans when required. 5. Ensure that engineering deliverables meet project requirements and follow project-specific procedures. 6. Participate in project engineering reviews and assist in resolving issues arising from them. 7. Perform checks to ensure that procurement specifications align with project specifications. 8. Coordinate with the procurement team on the requisitioning process and bid evaluations. 9. Participate in pre-order bid meetings with vendors and attend kick-off meetings after order award. 10. Provide assistance in strategic procurement planning. 11. Attend project review meetings and ensure associated reports are compiled and distributed. 12. Address interface items between disciplines and seek management advice where required. 13. Identify potential areas of variation during engineering and communicate them to the project management team. 14. Provide inputs to discipline supervisors on areas of attention required during proposal estimating. 15. Assist project team lead engineers in their interactions with client counterparts during project execution. Position: Production Engineer Responsibilities: As an engineer in the Production Department, your main responsibility is to schedule and ensure the completion of all planned activities at the highest level of quality to minimize disruption to operations. Key deliverables include: 1. Schedule and maintain manpower, resources, and machinery in the production department. 2. Arrange raw materials required for production from the warehouse/stores in coordination with the planning department. 3. Communicate and monitor produced lengths to ensure final lengths meet specifications with minimum scrap and short lengths. 4. Arrange daily production requirements according to the machine schedule for operators, including materials and tooling needed during the shift. 5. Assist in scheduling and arranging manning requirements per machine and update the daily machine schedule. 6. Conduct various in-process checks to ensure process quality compliance as per Quality Control Plan (QCP). 7. Control raw material consumption and scrap generation in each process through daily monitoring. 8. Supervise production personnel to ensure timely and proper work execution with adherence to Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) standards. 9. Ensure supervisors and operators are adequately trained, equipped, and motivated for safe, timely, and cost-effective production. 10. Maintain safety, health, and environmental policies and procedures. 11. Coordinate activities with the HSE Department and implement programs to ensure plant cleanliness. 12. Conduct inventories. Qualifications: - Diploma in Engineering (Mechanical, Industrial, or Mechatronics) Skills/Knowledge: - Knowledge of plant machinery and related skills. - Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. - Good communication skills (verbal and written) in Arabic and English. - Familiarity with scheduling techniques. - Relationship management skills. - Ability to make timely decisions. - Knowledge of production scheduling, planning, and execution.
